Want to know what the trickiest and hardest part about my job is? The weather.
Most of my clients want at least part of their senior portrait session outdoors, and we book these photo shoots months in advance. As the date approaches, I begin to monitor the weather…. but honestly… TN weather is so unpredictable. I’ve learned that you really cannot make the final call until the morning of the session. Even then, sometimes it’s a tossup, and I let my clients decide if they are willing to brave the rain chance or if they want to wait for a different day.
There was a rain chance or Danielle’s July senior portrait session, but we decided that it wasn’t enough for us to postpone. I’m so glad that we kept the appointment, because the sun came out, the skies cleared, and we had the most beautiful evening!
Here are a few of Danielle’s favorite images:
Why did you choose Erin Smagala Photography?

What is your favorite color?
yellow
What makes you happy?
being with the people that I care about

The field, the pictures taken there are my favorite ones I have ever taken.
What is your favorite television show to binge watch?
The Office
What was your favorite part about the photo shoot?
Being able to have the shoot specifically for me
What are your plans after high school?
Attending the University of Tennessee to study kinesiology
What would be your dream job?
fashion designer
Do you have any advice/tips for my future clients?
Just trust the process, you may feel awkward just standing there and smiling but just relax and know the pictures are going to turn out good.
What are your final thoughts about the entire ESP experience?
It was a good experience especially since i was able to be apart of the model team and be able to participate in Pretty with Purpose. I really liked that makeup was included in my senior shoot, it made me not have to go through the hassle of either doing it myself or finding someone to.
Along with some digital files, we created the most beautiful album, mini accordion book, and metal print with her images. You can see an Instagram reel of these products by clicking the photo below.
