Today’s senior post is all about Maggie, one of the sweetest seniors I’ve ever photographed! Maggie is no stranger to my camera– I’ve been photographing her family for years! They have the most beautiful gallery wall of canvases in their home, and it makes me so happy to see it each time I’m there.
Maggie has always had the coolest vibe. She’s always seemed wise beyond her years to me, and she’s so kind and approachable. To know her is to love her!
Her first session date had unpredictable weather, but when we finally got to meet up, everything was perfect. We started at Plenty Bookshop in Cookeville, TN and then traveled out to some cool spots near her home. How awesome are these locations?!
Hey, Maggie… what makes you happy?
Spending time with the people I love! Going on fun trips or staying in with a good book on a rainy day!
Name one thing you have too much of:
Books for sure!
Name one thing you cannot live without:
my people
What are your favorite things to do on the weekends?
Depends- during the summer I love having pool parties and being outside in general. Kayaking, hiking, swimming, etc. In winter I catch up on my long list of books to read and bundle up with a good cup of coffee!
Tell me about a favorite high school memory.
Making friends that will last a lifetime!
What is your favorite television show to binge watch?
I have seen Parks and Recreation more times than I can count!
What are your plans after high school?
I am going to attend Tennessee to major in Chemistry. Then I plan on going to pharmacy school in hopes of becoming a pharmacist!
Who inspires you?
My parents and grandparents!
Why did you choose Erin Smagala Photography?
Erin has been photographing me and my family for years! I feel so comfortable with her and she always makes me feel confident when taking pictures!
What was your favorite part about the photo shoot?
Getting a chance to take photos in some of my favorite spots that will always be a special memory!
What was your favorite location and why?
Definitely the bookstore! I have always been a big reader and Erin captured that perfectly!
Do you have any advice/tips for my future clients?
Just go with the flow and trust Erin’s ideas (she has some great ones!!!) Always plan to take pictures in places and outfits that best represent you! You don’t want to look back at your senior pictures if they don’t feel like you! No matter what trends are going around, just be yourself!
In general, what are your final thoughts about the entire ESP experience?
It was great! Erin was very detailed when it came to planning and time management! The actual photo shoot day was amazing as well. Erin made me feel so confident and pretty through the whole process! She also was very quick about getting the photos back to me, but still made sure to edit them beautifully!
